Refund Policy

At Juriva, we stand behind our product. If you're not satisfied, we want to make it right. This policy explains when you are entitled to a refund and how to obtain one.

1. Overview
Juriva Ltd operates a fair and transparent refund process. Our policy applies to all paid subscription plans (Basic, Plus, and Pro). The free trial is not subject to a refund as no payment is taken.
Refunds are issued at our discretion except where you are entitled to a refund under our 7-day money-back guarantee or applicable consumer protection law.
2. The 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment for any paid plan. If you are not satisfied with Juriva for any reason, contact us within 7 calendar days of your first successful charge and we will refund you in full.
You do not need to provide a reason. We will not argue or apply any conditions beyond confirming your identity and that your request is within the guarantee window.
The 7-day guarantee applies to your first charge only. Subsequent monthly renewals are not covered by the guarantee but may be eligible for pro-rata refunds in exceptional circumstances — see Section 4.
3. Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund (beyond the 7-day guarantee) in the following circumstances:
- Service outage: The Service was unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours during a paid billing period due to our fault. We will issue a pro-rata credit for the affected days.
- Billing error: You were charged an incorrect amount, charged twice, or charged after a confirmed cancellation. We will refund the full erroneous amount.
- Significant feature removal: We permanently remove a feature that was a material component of your plan without reasonable notice or a suitable alternative, and you request a refund within 14 days of the removal.
- Exceptional circumstances: At our sole discretion, we may issue refunds for other circumstances we consider genuinely unfair, such as accidental purchases reported within 48 hours.
4. Exclusions — When Refunds Do Not Apply
Outside of the 7-day guarantee and the eligible circumstances above, refunds are not available in the following cases:
- Renewal charges for monthly subscriptions that have already been used;
- Partial months — subscriptions are not prorated on cancellation unless otherwise required by law;
- Dissatisfaction with the nature of AI-generated legal information (which is clearly described as general information, not legal advice);
- Failure to cancel before a renewal date (we send a reminder email 3 days before each renewal);
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of our Terms of Service;
- Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after the charge in question;
- Change-of-mind refunds on Pro plan annual contracts (if offered).
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at:
Please include the following in your email:
- Your registered email address;
- The date of the charge you are disputing;
- The amount charged;
- A brief description of your reason (even "I changed my mind" is sufficient within the 7-day window);
- Your order or invoice reference (found in your billing confirmation email).
We will acknowledge your request within 1 business day and provide a decision within 3 business days.
6. Refund Processing & Timing
Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and returned to the original payment method used for the charge. Estimated timelines:
- Credit / debit card: 5–10 business days (depending on your bank);
- PayPal: 3–5 business days;
- Bank transfer / SEPA: 7–14 business days.
We cannot refund to a different payment method than the one originally charged. If your card has been cancelled or expired, please contact us and we will work with you to arrange an alternative.
You will receive a confirmation email when your refund is issued. You may also receive notification from your bank separately.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings under Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access until that date.
Cancellation alone does not constitute a refund request. If you wish to cancel and receive a refund, you must also contact us at billing@juriva-ai.com within the applicable refund window.
We will send you a cancellation confirmation by email. If you do not receive one within 1 hour of cancelling, please contact us to verify your cancellation was processed.
8. Free Trial
Our 30-day free trial does not require a payment method. No charge is made during the trial period. At the end of the trial, your account is automatically downgraded to read-only; you will not be automatically charged.
If you choose to upgrade to a paid plan at any point, your first charge is covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee described in Section 2.
9. Disputes & Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us directly at billing@juriva-ai.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. In most cases, we can resolve the issue quickly and without the delays a formal dispute process involves.
If you initiate an unwarranted chargeback on an amount that would not have been refundable under this policy, we reserve the right to:
- Suspend your account pending resolution of the dispute;
- Provide our records to the payment provider to contest the chargeback;
- Terminate your account and restrict future access if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent.
10. UK Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you may have statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a right to cancel a digital subscription within 14 days of purchase ("cooling-off period"). However, by using the Service before the 14-day period expires, you expressly consent to performance beginning immediately and acknowledge that your right to cancel may be reduced proportionally for the period you have used the Service.
Our 7-day money-back guarantee runs concurrently with any statutory cooling-off period and is intended to be at least as favourable as your statutory rights. Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or otherwise limit your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
You may also refer disputes to the UK's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme. We will provide details of our approved ADR provider on request.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be notified by email and posted on this page with an updated effective date. Refund requests are processed under the policy in effect at the time of your original charge.
